Dr. Jörg Herbst

Dr. Jörg Herbst was formerly head of Toxicology at Merckle/Ratiopharm and has held Vice President roles of Nonclinical Pharmacology and Toxicology at Apogenix GmbH and Auregen Biotherapeutics AG.

Jörg is experienced in planning and execution of non-clinical safety assessments and has supervised a multitude of pivotal GLP toxicity and safety pharmacology studies. Dr Herbst authors regulatory documents and has defended expert nonclinical positions on behalf of sponsors at EU & US Agency meetings. He also delivers expert toxicological Risk Assessments of Impurities, Excipients, Extractables & Leachables.

Dr. Jörg Herbst is a Board-Certified Toxicologist in the EU (ERT) and in the US (DABT) and holds a degree in Chemistry & a PhD from the Institute of Toxicology at the University of Würzburg.
